Travel Guide to Canton Fair 2014(The 116th China Import and Export Fair)

Canton fair 2014  shall be held during Oct 31- Nov 4, 2014, there are three phases for different kinds products. 

Phase 1: Oct. 15 - 19, 2014 9:30 - 18:00

Phase 2: Oct. 23 - 27, 2014 9:30 - 18:00

Phase 3: Oct. 31 - Nov 4, 2014 9:30 - 18:00

Travel guide to Canton fair:

Route: 

Train: If you want to go to the Canton Fair, the route we suggested is flying to Hong Kong and take the train there to Guangzhou, which is generally the most effective and cheapest way. Hung Hom Hong Kong Iternational Trainstation is only 30 minutes away from Hong Kong Airport. There are 12 trains （08:19 -19:24）heads to Guangzhou daily from Hung Hom station, 

Airplane: If you prefer airplane, the flight from Hong Kong to Guangzhou takes around 1 hour, and it takes generally additional 1 hour by taxi from Guangzhou Airport to most hotels downtown.

Guangzhou's Metro is convenient, it's better choose a hotel near to metro, if not, taxi would be also a good choice. 

Hotel: The hotels shall increase their room rates by 60% during Canton fair period, so book the hotel 4 weeks in advance would be better.

Or you can find one directly outside the canton fair complex, there are many university students willing to be a tour guide.(see right picture)

Note: If you take a chinese translator with you to the fair, you shall pay additional ￥300 for the entry of your chinese assistant per day.
